Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is looking to hire Coax Splicers for our San Diego, CA location.
Responsibilities
Place and install required coax cable.
Install all passive and active devices, pedestals, vaults or Coax splice cases required to house CATV/phone equipment per customer requirements.
Climb poles, ladders, towers and other structures as needed. Use bucket trucks as needed.
Receive drawings and verbal communication to perform tasks assigned in.
Obtain all materials and tools needed for job completion.
Place cable in trench
Read and understand site plans, maps and diagrams needed to support project.
Perform forward and reverse balancing, sweeping, trouble-shooting and provide end of line reading documentation
Requirements & Qualifications
1 year Coax Splicing experience required
Valid Driver’s license
Meet all DOT requirements
Lift and carry up to 70 lbs
Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for project build process
Team Fishel will provide on-the-job training in all areas of safety, including Flagger Awareness, Utility Locating Procedures, First Aid & CPR, Drivers Safety, Heavy Equipment Awareness, tool operation and maintenance
Bilingual and prior construction experience is a plus
