Concrete/Asphalt Laborer

Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is looking to hire a Concrete/Asphalt Laborer for our Phoenix, AZ  operations. This position will be responsible for smoothing and finishing surfaces of poured concrete and asphalt, such as walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities:

• Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth, and align them.

• Check the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed.

• Spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float

• Work as a part of a crew.

• Handle physically demanding construction duties.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Must be able to follow instructions.

• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, dig, and reach.

• Must be able to travel.

• Must be able to lift, carry, and place heavy object.

• Valid Driver's license required, must meet all DOT requirements

• Must have experience with construction power tools

• Must have experience restoring and finishing asphalt and/or concrete

Bilingual and prior construction experience is a plus

Team Fishel will provide on-the-job training in all areas of safety, including flagging certification, tool operation and maintenance.
