Description

Team Fishel, the Best Choice for Utility Construction since 1936, is hiring a Safety Coordinator for our Plant City, FL (Tampa area) office. 

Responsibilities:
1. Develops, delivers, and documents safety training for Teammates
2. Maintains safety records
3. Conducts regular safety inspections to enforce safety programs and policies
4. Assists in identifying and mitigating hazards at job site locations
5. Investigates accidents, injuries, and job damages
6. Monitors contract service/ inspection of required safety equipment
7. Assists Supervisors prepare materials for safety meetings
8. Occasional travel is required

Preferred Skills:
1. Current certifications in OSHA 500 and 510, and qualification to teach OSHA 10 
2. Knowledge of industry safety practices, NESC, DOT, OSHA, ADOSH regulations and guidelines
3. Certified and Trained in Red Cross first aid, CPR, HAZCOM, PPE and blood borne pathogens

Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus.
