The Safety Coordinator is a demanding and critical role within the Dayton office, and a great opportunity to be part of the team that makes Team Fishel the leader in utility construction in the area!

The responsibilities of the Safety Coordinator include: conducting safety operation training, safety training programs and updating and maintaining training programs to improve the safety of telecommunications, natural gas distribution, and electrical distribution operations. This position also includes conducting routine safety visits to enforce safety policies, while identifying specific job hazards and precautions at various job site locations. |

Responsibilities:
1. Develops, delivers, and documents safety training across Team Fishel locations
2. Maintains safety records
3. Conducts regular safety inspections to enforce safety programs and policies
4. Assists in identifying and mitigating hazards at job site locations
5. Investigates & reports on accidents, injuries, and job damages
6. Analyzes data and compiles reports
7. Works with local Safety Coordinators and Area Managers to develop training programs to comply with OSHA, DOT, and customer requirements
Required Skills and Certifications:
1. OSHA outreach trainer (500 & 501) in OSHA 10 and 30 hour construction preferred
2. Knowledge of industry safety practices including, DOT, OSHA, local and state, regulations, and guidelines
3. Authorized to train in first aid, CPR, Competent Person, Confined Space, Trench, Respiratory Protection, Fall Protection, and Smith Driver
4. Familiar with DOT OQ requirements
5. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
