Team Fishel, the Best Choice for Utility Construction since 1936, is hiring a Safety Coordinator for our Groveland, FL office.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, delivers, and documents safety training
- Maintains safety records
- Conducts regular safety inspections to enforce safety programs and policies
- Assists in identifying and mitigating hazards at job site locations
- Investigates accidents, injuries, and job damages
- Monitors contract service/inspection of fire extinguishers, breathing apparatus, portable gas detectors, and other applicable safety equipment
- Assists Supervisors prepare materials for safety meetings
- Travel is required
Preferred Skills:
- Current certifications in OSHA 500 and 510, and qualification to teach OSHA 10
- Knowledge of industry safety practices, NESC, DOT, OSHA, ADOSH regulations and guidelines
- Certified and Trained in Red Cross first aid, CPR, HAZCOM, PPE and blood borne pathogens
Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus
